Ben Creider
Sports Communications Professional
Social, Strategic Storyteller
I am a 10-sport communications professional who is always looking for new and innovative ways to share compelling stories through the power of data, social media and strategic media relations. Whether it’s managing credentials and media access, crafting press releases and game notes or coordinating interviews for players and coaches, I thrive in fast-paced environments where storytelling meets real-time engagement.
My approach is built on curiosity and intentionality, both in my personal and professional life. I believe the best stories come from asking the right questions, digging into the details and finding unique ways to connect audiences with the game. When I’m not sorting through stat sheets, you’ll find me chasing new stories — whether on the sidelines, in the press box or on my next hiking adventure.
Where am I today?
Most recently, I operated as the primary communications contact for USL Championship side FC Tulsa as its communications coordinator. My previous roles included time as the sports information director for Oklahoma State women's golf, where I also led graphic design and photography efforts, and roles with USA Softball and Sports Illustrated.
My passion for storytelling and digital strategy continues to drive me as I continue work in this field. Stemming from a high school blog and podcast, I have generated more than 10 million impressions and 1.1 million views while publishing more than 900 articles/press releases and 10,000 minutes of podcast audio.
